With this job we will figure out a few "not too complicated" items and also drive your car, put it in the air and look for anything else that catches our eye or for anything related to what we noticed on our test drive. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON

You can just come by and we will read the code stored in your car's main computer. Once we know the code, we will reset the light and give you advise on what to do next. This does not include any actual diagnosis, just reading the code. Diagnosis may be an additional charge, but we will discuss that after reading the code and seeing what it is.

MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS (ALL DTC SCAN)

Do you have a bunch of warning lights and/or messages coming up in the info display in your gauge cluster? We will scan all the computers with one of our fancier scan tools and printout the results. Usually there is just an issue in one system triggering all the messages and lights as systems are intertwined. Once we figure out the root code, we will either know right away what the issue is from past experience, or we will offer further diagnosis.

DIAGNOSE AN OIL LEAK

Actual cost for diagnosis will be $20 to $100. If we just need to put it up in the air and the leak is obvious, its $20. If there are multiple leaks and/or oil coating the powertrain and it is not obvious, we will likely do a "leak powder test", which would be $100. This would generally include steam cleaning, blow drying, then spraying a special white powder on suspected areas. We then run the car in the air on the Iift for 15+ minutes at an elevated engine speed to boost oil pressure and help identify leak using the powder.
